The Next Meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 6th in
Dreyfus Hall at Research Triangle Institute (RTI) starting at 6:30 p.m.
The theme for this meeting is "ATM Networks: The Underlying Architecture
for Information Highways" and we are proud to have Dr. Harry Perros,
Ph.D., as the keynote speaker for the night. Dr. Perros is a professor at
NC State University and his been involved in research on high speed
networks for several years, We know this will be a true learning
experience as well as an eye opener on the opportunities and challenges
that computer professionals will encounter in the future. Anyone with an
interest in the information processing and computer related fields is
welcome to attend. Refreshments will be offered from 6:30 to 7 p.m.,
before the presentation begins. Also, starting at 6 p.m. there will be an
online demonstration on access to the Internet and some of the services
and information found on the Internet.
The directions to Dreyfus Hall at RTI are as follows:
If you're coming on 1-40 from Raleigh or Chapel Hill, take the exit for
the Durham Freeway, highway 147. Take the Cornwallis Rd. exit off Durham
Freeway and make a left at the end of the ramp at the stop sign, For those
coming from Durham, you will do the exact same - left at stop sign after
taking the Cornwallis Ad exit, Drive for about a mile on Cornwallis you
will see a sign for Research Triangle Institute at the main entrance,
continue on Cornwallis to the next turn and make a right into RTI. Follow
the road for 1 or 2 blocks and you will see a sign for Dreyfus Hall.
