GREEK FESTIVAL 2001

East Chapel Hill High School
Weaver Dairy Road, Chapel Hill

Friday-Sunday, October 26-28, 2001

Friday: 5:00pm-9:00pm, Saturday: 11:00am-9:00pm, Sunday:
12:00pm-6:00pm

Greek Food, Greek Pastries, Greek Music and Greek Dancing

Free Admission

Portion of the net proceeds to American Red Cross, the Sept 11th
Relief Fund, and for a Classics Department Scholarship
at East Chapel Hill High School

DIRECTIONS: Take 15-501 South towards Chapel Hill, take a right on Sage
Rd (Lowe's is on your right), a left on (old) Erwin Rd and finally
a right on Weaver Dairy Rd. A few miles down the road you will see
signs and the school on your right.


DANCE PERFORMANCES
------------------------
The Duke and UNC Hellenic Associations will participate with Folk
Dancing Groups. Dance performances are as follows:

Friday, Oct 26, 7:00pm - UNC dancing group
Saturday, Oct 27, 2:00pm - UNC dancing group
Saturday, Oct 27, 5:00pm, 7:00pm - DUKE dancing group
Sunday, Oct 28, 1:00pm, 3:30pm - DUKE dancing group

The Duke dancing group consists of :

Leonidas Alexopoulos (grad, Biomedical Eng)
Anna Konidari (research staff, Reproductive Biology)
Aristotelis Iordanidis (grad, Electrical Eng)
Marianthy Ionel (grad, Mathematics)
Maria Fala (grad, Mathematics - UNC)
Michail Lagoudakis (grad, Computer Science)


MUSIC PERFORMANCES

Live Music by Nick Trivelas (Solo Bouzouki) will be played during all 3
days of the festival.

There is also a special music performance:

Greek Traditional Songs by ENTAKSI, Sat, Oct 27, 5:30pm-7:00pm

ENTAKSI consists of :

Kostya LaPasha (laouto, vocals)
Richie Leonard (clarinet)
Doris Smith (violin)
