I just got home from work, and I'll send out an email. The only input/
suggestion has been for Beezers, so Beezers it will be! I think a
table out in the room will be fine. The only thing we need to discuss
is the December meeting and January planning meeting but we can, and
should, make preliminary plans for February, March, and April to get
back on track for the coming year.
Because it is a new year, I would also like discussion on club
leadership. Are we content with the group consensus way we proceed
now, or would anyone like to step forward and take a charge of the
club in the coming year? Any other DUFF club ideas, practices,
projects that you would like to see added or changed in 2012?
I'm personally finding less time for brewing as I get deeper into
gardening and the greenhouse project that I have going. I love
homebrew, but I really want to focus my time onto the greenhouse and
garden in 2012. These last few days I'm trying to get a soap bubble
machine put together that will add a 24 inch layer of soap bubbles
between an inner and outer hoop-house in my greenhouse. Soap bubbles
are supposed to have an R-value of 1 per inch so 24 inches = R24!
Amazing stuff, but I came home tonight and found I had forgotten to
turn on the underground heating system after I shut it off this
morning for some maintenance, and the inside temp. of the greenhouse
had fallen to 30 degrees while the outside temp dropped to 25! I
switched the fan on and in an hour the temperature had risen to 34 in
the greenhouse... hope it didn't damage too many of the plants in
there and I hope it can maintain the above freezing temperature
through the night. So far it has succeeded.
Anyway, I'll get the email out to the DUFF members tonight to meet at
6:00pm tomorrow night at Beezers.
