hey folk, thinking about bottling beer today and forgot how much priming sugar to put in a 5 gal. batch

All my recipes call for 5oz  corn sugar per 5 gal batch.  Merry Christmas to ya all.

That is safe amount Joe. It can be more complicated if you want,
though (as always ). If you want more carbonation, you could add 5.5
oz. Less carbonation, you could add 4.5 oz. It is question of beer
style. A British bitter or porter would need less carbonation. A
wheat beer, or a strong Belgian ale could use a higher carbonation
level.
