I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and the Tools package several times.
I have checked the Security & Privacy panel, but there is no notification asking for acceptance.

Interestingly, now my UR22mkII is showing in the Audio Setup menu in the Audio Midi settings window, so I can use it or add it to an Agregate device.
I am left with the question, should I re-enable the System Integrity Protection?

Your solution helped me get bac the ALLOW button and I DID get the Kernel Cache Rebuilding message. Restarted after that and all yet the driver still does not show up correctly in AUDIO MIDI , just a blue generic usb icon named AG06 and no signal on either channel.
After the update, I start Cakewalk, and the program is now glitching wildly, and the ASIO driver is set to the Steinberg Generic ASIO driver. I can switch to WASAPI, but I can't get Cakewalk to switch to the Presonus ASIO driver. The Presonus drivers are greyed out in Cakewalk, but work fine in every other program.
SOLVED: I uninstalled the Generic ASIO driver, and Cakewalk would completely lock up when booted. I then reinstalled the GA driver. Cakewalk then gave me a pop up on start telling me that the GA driver was incompatible, and gave me the option to WASAPI. I switched to WASAPI, and was then able to go in and switch to ASIO, and it immediately loaded the GA driver. This time, though, I was able to switch off the GA driver and load the Presonus ASIO driver. So, problem solved.
The change may have been by Steinberg. I know that there were problems in the past with the GA driver, and Cakewalk specifically addressed it in an update. I had it uninstalled, but looks like it reinstalled after the last Cubase update.
How is it that everything works after the driver is uninstalled, albeit with poor performance? Is the uninstall function that comes with the driver not actually uninstalling it? If it is actually being uninstalled, what is being used as a functioning driver? Is there a place I can go to confirm what version of the driver is being used.
I use Cubase Elements 12. An old problem today recurred: when I started Cubase, it could not find the existing driver for my UR22 interface. I had changed nothing and my Windows PC is using the UR22 as its playback device. I downloaded and reinstalled the driver to no effect. In the Cubase Control Panel, only the ASIO driver was visible. Are you using any anti-virus apps, cleaning apps, or third party security software that may be interfering with the installation of the software & driver? If you have any of these apps installed, then uninstall them by following the developer's instructions.
What's really crazy is I found a workaround to the problem by disguising the MIDI signal, (the problem being my Yamaha keyboard's MIDI signal would not connect to the Macbook for Garage Band and other music Applications.) In my box of gadgets I found a MIDI/USB interface (for old keyboards without USB). I ran a MIDI cable from the Yamaha to the interface, and a USB cable from the interface to the Macbook, and it worked, showing the interface as a generic midi device.
So the Macbook has no problem accepting the MIDI signal from a generic source, but rejects it if it's from a Yamaha source. (The Yamaha keyboard was plug & play on my PC as well as on my ipad pro and iphone.) So anyway as long as the MIDI signal is disguised as generic to fool the Macbook, that will have to do until Steinberg gets their act together. (Don't tell Big Sur OS my secret or it might stop working, lol.)

The audio module - when selecting ASIO and trying to pick from ASio options VCV freezes and says not responding for about 5 seconds before letting pick ASIO 4 all, fl studio asio or my Steinberg audio interface.
The Main LR out line is not recognized here and is what is recognized by all by other DAWS. That line will show up if I select WASAPI drivers and then I will see options to select Interface Montage Out 1-2.
