Launch of Code for Ireland

Hi all,

You may have heard that we kicked off Code for Ireland with a meetup at the end of November.

We are now ready to formally launch the initiative at an event which will take place as follows -

Date:    Thursday 16th January, 2014

Time:    6pm – 9pm

Venue:  Dublin Castle Conference Centre, Dublin Castle, Dublin 2

The aim of Code for Ireland is to be an enabler for local civic engagement via a network of local chapters of civic-minded volunteers, who contribute skills toward using the web as a platform for municipal government and community service.  Code for Ireland is based on the Code for America model of which we are an international member – see http://codeforamerica.org/
