to The Dublin Book Club
Join the Dublin Book Club for a discussion of our August book pick,
John Banville's The Sea. The Sea, published in 2005, won UK's
prestigious Man Booker prize and is credited to be this Irish writer's
finest work to date. Banville is known for his skillful portrayl of
the Irish masculine, and his work is said to be equal parts novel and
character study.
This thread is an open invitation to readers everywhere to join a
discussion about The Sea. Throughout the month of August, we will be
sharing questions and observations about the book--feel free to join
in with any comments you care to share. The conversation is open to
anyone, so do invite friends and fellow readers.
I'm looking forward to reading everyone's impressions and will be
joining the conversation soon myself!
Happy Reading!
Kate
