Hey All,

Post book ideas here--it'll be nice to keep a list of books to to
recommend for future meetings or for reading between meetings too. If
you like, include a line on what it's about, who it's by or what
brought you to read/recommend it.

I'll add our list from last night too this soon.

First book idea to get the ball rolling: "Unaccustomed Earth" by
Jhumpa Lahiri. Lahiri wrote "The Namesake" and "Interpreter of
Maladies", both fantastic reads. "Unaccustomed Earth" is her latest
book.

Hi all,

One book I've been meaning to read for a while is The Screwtape
Letters by CS Lewis. Here's what Wikipedia says:
-----
The Screwtape Letters is a work of Christian satire by C. S. Lewis
first published in book form in 1942. The story takes the form of a
series of letters from a senior demon, Screwtape, to his nephew, a
junior tempter named Wormwood, so as to advise him on methods of
securing the damnation of an earthly man, known only as "the Patient."
-----
The rights have been bought by Walden Media (the people that made
Narnia into movies recently) and they are working on developing it,
though news is it's going to be properly different and a lot darker.
