Hi From Beautiful Cazenovia NY USA
My life is full of distractions, 5 children, 3 dogs, 86 yr old mom
just moved in!!! My escape... reading a must each day!.....I have
been moving along slowly in this book but just had to comment on one
line....."In the midst of the ImperiaI progress that was our life
together a grinning losel had stepped out of a cheering crowd and
sketching a parody of a bow had handed my tragic queen the warrant of
impeachment. That is BRILLIANT!....Read on! mary frances

This was a beautifully written book. On several occasions I would find
myself
re-reading the prose just to take in the description that the author
wrote about:
"a slab of sunlight on the floor".
The shortfall of the story, however, was that it was hard to identify
with Max,
who seemed so self absorbed and superficial. It was with great
difficulty that
I could sense his personal pain.
