2) Spring Half Day Conference.
At the november meeting, there was a consensus that we should organize
a half day conference in the new year.
It would be most likely in a city centre location, with the format
being a series of fifteen minute talks.
If anyone is interested in making a presentation, please revert
accordingly.
3) December Meeting.
At the October meeting, we decided to set out a schedule of meetings
for November to January. We did not expect to get as many people as we
did for the November meeting.
As the November meeting, there was a consensus that future events need
to be more structured, and that a venue better able to cope with the
larger crowd is needed.
I am thinking of approaching the Exchange venue in Temple Bar. Does
anyone have any experience of any events there?
Until then, I reckon we will proceed with what was originally planned
for December: a get-together at the Bank Pub. Hopefully we will
progress on this matter the January meeting.
4) Irish Language Support.
A message from the R translation team.
Currently, we are setting the unified framework for R translation.
However, I realized that the language of Irish has not been supported
by GNU R. Thus, I would like know if you are interested in this work
for Irish people.
If you are, please feel free to contact me anytime via email.
Would anyone like to take part in this? I will forward on the contact
details.

Kevin O'Brien
