Runways Duathlon - Wednesday 7th July

[2010 Duathlon]

A quick reminder that registration opens for next week's Duathlon on Sunday at 1pm in Runways Store on Parnell's Street.  Link to map.  There will still be registration on the night from 6-7pm.

Stacked Field

• Normally the current National Series Champion; Bryan McCrystal (Setanta Tri) starts as favorite, but with former European Duathlon Champion David Vaughan travelling over from London as well as the current course record holder Art MacManusa (Belpark) back from Scotland for the race, it's too hard to call.  Not to mention local favorites Kevin Keane, John Caffrey & Niall Sommers, who have almost 15 race wins between them already this year.
• Elena Maslova (CoachElena.com) starts as favorite, but Mary Laverty (Setanta Tri) is on a run of success after winning the Camlough Triathlon, while Judith Lowry will be pushing the pace on the first run.  Also worth a mention is rookie Julia-Anne Bowden, who's making a habit of stepping onto the podium as is Kitty Perle (3Dtri).

Looking for a bit of Adventure?  Maybe HellFire on the 11th of August or WAR:Wicklow Adventure Race on the 25th of September might be worth a shot.
