Hello,
I understand your concern — there are many third-party firms contacting
investors these days, so it’s always wise to verify before engaging anyone.
If you are unsure about the legitimacy of the law firm that reached out to
you, I strongly recommend consulting a licensed Dubai-based lawyer who can
review your case, check the authenticity of the firm, and guide you on the
safest way to proceed. Sometimes investors can file directly through the
courts, but in many cases having a proper legal representative helps avoid
mistakes and ensures the claim is filed correctly.
You may also reach out to a trusted legal team in Dubai for verification or
assistance. For example, *Advocates Rana & Associates
<https://advocatesrana.com/>* provides legal services to property investors
and can help review settlement offers or represent you in refund claims.
Getting professional guidance before agreeing to any settlement is highly
advisable.
Wish you the best with your case.

Thank you for your input,
However, UAE and Gulf Countries are not known for their transparency and
user-friendly laws and regulations.
It is not like the US, where lawyer's registration, reputation, client
reviews can be verified. No Bar Association to contact, and if there was,
they are not likely to make you run through the red-tape, and still may not
give you any information.
I myself and a dozen other investors who invested in Chapal Group projects,
have been to several law firms, RERA, the courts - all of whom
repeatedly asked for more and more copies of relevant documents, wasted our
time over several days, waiting for hours to speak to an official, but in
the end, no resolution. The system is designed to frustrate all claimants
like us, so they will give up!
Please, if you know of a mechanism otherwise, please share with us.
Regards,
M. Malik

Yes, if you already have the execution case number, you can submit your disbursement request directly through Al Adheed, and a lawyer isn’t mandatory. However, many applicants still prefer using a legal representative or a proper Power of Attorney (POA) — especially when they’re abroad — to avoid delays or mistakes in the execution process.
If anyone needs guidance with POA, filing, or Dubai execution procedures, you can reach out anytime or visit https://advocatesrana.com/.
