Hi guys
I had 2 projects cancelled in 2009
Finally they have both been auctioned off by Emirates Auction
Courts have now started issuing 100% refunds
I had to download the DUBAI REST APP UPLOAD DOCUMENTATION then had to wait
It took a while but Dubai Courts are now cancelling projects
Best bet if anyone in Dubai go check in DUBAI COURT
I visited Dubai court today office # 243
Ask for information on cancelled projects then follow the process
Regards
Ami

Hi Nigel
With regards to any project that has been cancelled, by the land dept, it
is referred to the court. If you have an Oqood ( interim title deed) You
should be able to get updates on what’s going on with the court hearings
I had a similar situation with two properties in JVC. The project was
cancelled and I basically gave up on it . After a few years I started
receiving calls from. Law firms stating they would be able to assist in
taking on my case. However they wanted upfront fees plus a percentage of
the refunded investment. I didn’t bother and a few years later , I started
getting text and email messages from the land dept to update them with
proof of ownership and payments made. These were responded to by
myself There after I started getting text messages in Arabic. ( Iused the
translate option in text to work out what was being mentioned from the
dubai courts on updates on hearings .I didn’t really respond further and
then received info that judgement has been awarded in my favour however
only roughly 15% of the unvested amount was awarded . The actual execution
of the award comes later when I got a message to contact Al Adeed . This a
service provider that process your application for disbursement of your
funds A small processing fee is paid and you bank account details are
required and Iwas asked for my Passport and UAE ID . Further few months
later , I received my funds , that I really had given up on.
So if the law firm managed to contact , you it means you are in the system
somewhere.
I think your first point of contact is the land department REST app If you
manage to sign in maybe you can get further info
Good luck

Hi Thanks for your detailed reply, sorry you only got 15% of your money
back, can I ask the name of the project you invested in within JVC and how
long ago it was that the court made a judgement? For Reliance the Nakheel
Committee sold the land at auction and there is a judgement dated December
2024, there are over 900 investors in all the 17 Reliance projects and they
sold the land for AED 360M, however even though the land was sold in March
2024 no Reliance investor has been given any of their money back.
