The AALL Student Caucus will offer a community for students pursuing careers in the field of law librarianship where they can assume an active role in shaping the future of the profession. The Caucus will work to support members’ academic endeavors, provide mentorship and guidance opportunities, facilitate networking, and offer paths to leadership. The Caucus will inform members of educational and networking events and connect them to financial grants, scholarships, and other relevant activities and opportunities. The Caucus will strengthen the professional community by developing educational programming and creating an online presence for student members. Finally, the Caucus will serve as an intermediary connecting local student chapters with AALL.
Hi, Jessica, Mark and Genevieve.
Last fall, I joined LLAGNY (Law Library Association of New York) as a student member (I live in northern NJ.) Would that status negate my being part of Drexel's student caucus? If not, I'm happy to join and help with the initial membership.
I'm working on a post-Master's certificate in CI/KM which I expect to finish after Winter 2013. So I guess that makes me a student until then.
(Mark, I think we were in 681 together this past fall with Prof Ed Greenlee. I was the most quiet one on the discussion boards. Anyway, hello again!)
Regards,
Cynthia Schwartz
