As many of you know, I have been working on Stereotoid with some of
the other Dtoiders. I haven't really been all that motivated to come
back to dTunes, or do anything at all for that matter. I'm even
leaving for Disney tomorrow and am not all that excited or giddy, but
that my be because of all the packing I have to do.

The question is, who wants to see dTunes return, and who wants to let
it die? If you guys want it, I guess I'll have no choice but to get to
work.

I say, don't do it again until you're feeling it. Dtunes is a great feature, but only if you're having fun with it.

Well it's a feature for the masses, I really don't do anything but scheduling and archiving.

You need to assign a team to run it, because it seems that you're semi-lost in the midst of auxillary bullshit.

Trust me, I live my life this way.

Hm, so maybe everyone archives their own week? Scheduling is pretty easy.

Could work that way. What you need to do is this: make an open announcment for weekly contributions, have them set up their weeks in advance, and have someone set up scheduling for everyone's weeks and possibly proofread/etc. This way, you can get more community involvement than just contribution.

I agree with Grant. Rather than have you worry if it's the end or how
the fate ends, it can be something down the lines of how community
blog recaps started with having those desinated people working each
week then archive them. I'm sure we can even get people through the
forums as I hardly ever look at cblogs these days.

The cblogs have taken a significant back seat to the mainpage/forums. That's the reason I joined Dtoid, and I'd love to see more emphasis on the community aspect. If you have the clout to ask for some special real estate from Niero and the gang, see if that can be a special section of the site focusing on the community at large. Granted, it's only musical tastes, but what else do practically all human beings have in common besides a fascination with boobs?

cblogs have taken a bit of a backseat and most if it my case has to
deal with so many of the cblogs being posts that should be forum spam
or a forum joke but gets fapped to death. Some of it is fine but...I
enjoyed reading whats on the dtoid community's mind and also allowing
others to know how I feel.

I can see this branching off to something big though in the long run.

It all depends on how large-scale you want to make this section, really. Are you going to do something with it or will it just sit?

The choice is yours, my son.
