Calling all DTS students in the Dallas area who love working with youth/students:

 

We want you to be involved in Pipeline:  Pipeline is the DTS student organization that is dedicated to "Inform, Connect, & Encourage DTS student who are currently working with or plan to work within Youth/Student ministry."  We have some exciting things planned for the future and some great opportunities for anyone who wants to be involved.  But we need people. 

 

The Benefits:  We know your schedule, your work, your ministry, your homework, your family, and everything else that requires your time.  But we also know the great rewards and opportunities that have been presented to people within Pipeline. The small amount of time you spend in Pipeline does pay off.  Officers of Pipeline have recieved opportunities to be published (for money!), write curriculum (again, for money!), recieve paid and non-paid internships with large church and national parachurch student ministries, meet and become involed with local student ministers as well as partner with National and International leaders in student ministry, and meet other like minded student ministers and future student ministers. 

 

The Reality: When the student minister of a large church in Dallas was asked about what he would do differently concerning seminary, he responded, "I would have gotten to know more people who share my passion for jr.high and high schoolers."  He went on to say that after he finished seminary he really didn't know anyone outside of his church and doing ministry that way was not so great.  Working with Pipeline you can meet others have a passion for students and network with them. 

 

The Action:  The opportunity is here at DTS. Recieve a great Christian education and with Pipeline you can hone your skills, meet great people with your same passion, and network with the leaders and future leaders in student ministry.  If you would like to be a ACTIVE PART of Pipeline, here is you chance.  Being an officer or member does not require much time (a couple of short meetings per semester and helping with one activity per semester) and the benefits are great.

P.S. If you sign up this semester you can take a part of two huge events scheduled for the Fall semester...  How big?  Let's just say it involves Shane & Shane, Jay Strack, and Dawson McCalister are part of the festivities...
