Youth Specialties National Youth Workers Convention in Austin, Oct. 5-9

Hey everyone out there in the Pipeline!!

One of the four Youth Specialties' National Youth Workers Conventions
will be held practically in our back yard. On Oct. 5-9 in Austin, TX
some of the best youth speakers, musicians, comedy acts, you name it,
will be there to challenge, inspire and equip you for youth ministry.
This is the GRAND-DADDY of all youth ministry conferences that every
youth worker should attend at some point in their ministry career.

The normal registration fee is $365 per person. But, because I'm a
member of the Youth Specialties Academic Network, they allow me to put
together a group from DTS at a special rate of $125 per person, a huge
savings for you and/or your church. Here are the specific requirements:
you must be a current DTS student and either in the youth ministry track
or currently enrolled in my CE 415 Church Ministries with Youth course
in order to qualify for the special DTS group discount rate.

To sign up go to the <www.youthspecialties.com> website and click on
the National Youth Workers Convention tab. You will need to log in with
my user name, <jsedwick>, and password, <CE415>, to get into the group.
It will initially tell you that you owe the regular amount until we have
5 registered conference attendees, then it will drop to the discounted
rate. You will be required to give a credit card # for the
non-refundable $75 deposit toward registration.

Two years ago over 50 students from DTS attended when it was in Dallas.
I know Austin is a bit of a challenge, but the NYWC won't be within
driving distance again for several years.

Hey Jay,

It's Howard Yoon from last semester's Youth Group Programming class.  I hope you and your family is doing well!

I had a question about this discounted rate.  I am not Currently in your class nor am I in the Youth track.  I'm in Pastoral ministries track.  However, I did attend your class last semester.  Would that count towards being qualified for this discount?

Also, this is something that I have been waiting for to take my fellow Youth group workers to.  I have about 10+ people from my church that I would like to take to this event.  Do you know if there is a discounted rate for a large group from a church to go to this thing?

Good to hear from you. Unfortunately, your situation does not qualify
for the special DTS discount rate. But, there is a special group rate
offered by YS. Go to their web site to register and you will see the
rates offered. We hope to see you there.
