meet and greet at GameWorks

So, let's get past the talking phase and DO THIS.  How is this Saturday for people?  I'm thinking we meet up at GameWorks around eight, eat and drink if you want, and play some games.  Then we can leave around ten, and if Meanderbot is feeling courageous (PROTIP: buy him lots of drinks), then maybe we can migrate to his place in Tempe.  Sound like a plan?  Any objections?  I'd certainly like to meet some of you people.

@Meaderbot: I have additional controllers for the PS3 and Wii... And
Super Mario Brothers and Mario Cart for the Wii that I could bring. I
don't have any boardgames though... Guess I'm not as old school as I

Wii: 3 wiimotes, 2 nunchucks, 1 classic; Smash Bros, DKCR, NSMBWii
Xbox: 1 controller; Perfect Dark
PS3:1 controller; no MP games
So bring controllers if you got/see a game to play.

Had a good time today, hopefully the rest of those present did as
well. Very nice meeting you Mr Meanderbot and of course Mr and Mrs
Dexter.
On one hand I can't say I'm entirely surprised that not many showed up
considering it is a Saturday after all... but I was expecting Ms.
Amanda (they had dance dance there :o) and Mojiee to be present; I was
hoping we'd have at least 6-7 members there.

Truth be told though, I was a little nervous initially due to the fact
that I was having some trouble finding a Destructoid green shirt (And
the bartender kept giving me these mean looks :O)
All in all it turned out well considering we didn't have each other's
cell phone numbers.. haha. :D
Although... the "Game" portion has definitely been taken out of
"Gameworks". I know I speak for everyone there that the best game of
them all was the cow milking game. Cmon, you know you want to get
your game on with a cow!

Right on! The more the merrier correct? I understand that because its
the weekend others will most likely have other plans. @Amanda: I'm
sorry we hosted the get together at an inaccessible location. But due
to yesterdays venture, we found out that Gameworks is a less than
stellar location for gaming, for sure. With Mr Dexter's permission,
we'll have to find a more desirable spot.... I'd like to put Howies
Game Shack out there for recommendation. For $12.00, you're granted
24 hour access and can play either on the rows and rows of xboxs or
computers(which are pretty great systems). It has bathroom facilities
and a food Booth. Also if you decide to leave, you can still come back
and continue playing. I'd also like to make mention that... I
understand the group itself is still relatively in its infancy... so
get togethers will not be as frequent I would suspect. But I implore
the members of this fine group to try being present at, at least one
get together so we can get to know one another... so for instance, if
people need rides to or from they'll feel a little more comfortable
knowing they aren't driving with a psycho... at least if
transportation is an issue. Writing this on a Droid is tedious :o
