Hey, everyone! Since Sean and Neal have traded the hosting gig back
and forth, I figured it was my turn to do something for once. I'm
looking to have the NARP party on Saturday night at my apartment in
North Austin. The address is as follows:

1915 Wells Branch PKWY
Apt 410
Austin, TX 78728

I'll make sure to detail precise driving directions and unique DToid
landmarks that'll make finding this place a breeze (such as green
Christmas lights up my stairwell or something equally stupid). I will
provide dinner, dessert, gaming systems, and some liquor. I love to
cook, so throw some suggestions my way, and I'll see what I can do.

I have all three consoles with three controllers each, so I might need
an additional one for each system depending on what we're playing.
The only thing that I really could use would be more beer/liquor and
chairs for people to be comfortable in. I have two couches and a
dining room table, but I do not have any fold-able lawn chairs for
anybody. If you have a couple to spare, I'd much appreciate it.

Let me know what I'm missing or if you have any questions!

Damn, this sounds awesome but I'm going to be in Park City covering Sundance for Flixist.

Have fun!

Is it this Saturday?  I'll definitely be there, but I don't know if the fiance will.  She's going to a bridal expo on Saturday, but may be too tired to go that night.  Either way, I'll be sure to bring some drinks and I'll try to remember to bring a folding chair.

Sounds like fun. Is it for this Saturday? I should be able to make it, but Julia may be tired since she's going to a bridal expo that day. Either way, I'll be sure to bring a folding chair and some drinks.

Neal, the email heading says 1/21. So, I'm guessing not this Saturday.

If 1/21 is indeed the date, I'm in! If it's this weekend, I'll be
busy interrupting Travis' mom's wedding when the priest asks if anyone
knowsof a reason that she and Mike should not get married.

I wouldn't worry, VQ.  We tend to hold these pretty regularly, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to attend and be scared off for a month or two before forgetting why and attending another just to be reminded.  It's a rather vicious cycle.

FYI, weekends are hard for me for all of this year, just like last year.  I'm in the midst of getting my MBA and I spend my weekends doing fun stuff like writing research papers and writing about theory.

Yay.

Anyway, I can do any NARP activities that want to happen up here in Dallas, I've thrown a few Shitty Movie Nights at my Sister in law's house (I live in an apartment that's not as accommodating like her place is)

FYI Shitty movie night is not gaming related, but when we throw one, any of you is welcome to attend.  Port and Bleh regularly come as well.  I have a fantastic selection of REALLY bad films where we just sit and rip on them.

Occasionally we'll sit through a Rifftrax and let them do the work for us, but I have an incredibly deep well of offensively bad films, the likes of which most of you have never thought to watch or seek out.

If anyone wants to attend, let me know and when we get ready to do one, I'll put the word out.  I'm still sitting on Survivor Style 5 and Calamari Wrestler for a Japan-themed night.  Maybe we'll do that in Feb...

So -- what do you guys want to do? I'll have the food covered but not
too sure what games to have set up:

- I only have 2 PS3 contollers and would need 2 more for us to things
like NFL Blitz or NBA Jam.
- I have 3 Xbox 360 controllers and would need one more for X-Men:
Arcade Game, WWE All-Stars, or Castle Crashers.
- Also, we could call an old-school night and use the Wii for Mario
Kart 64, Bomberman '93, Mario Kart (SNES), or Tetris Party. I have 3
Wiimotes, but could probably get by using a Wavebird.

I have a handle of vodka, a bit of tequila, and a swig of whiskey. All
I need is for people to bring some folding chairs and/or beer. I'll
cover the rest!

I can bring over 2 PS3 controllers if need be.  I also have Rayman Origins and You Don't Know Jack, which each have 4 player options on them.

Feel free to bring whatever you guys want. We'll end up playing
whatever -- you know how it works. 80 percent of it is drinking/
bullshitting, the other 20 is vidya games.

Hello gentlepeople,
I have a dilemma. Car trouble has befallen myself and if I'm going to get to the NARP I'm going to need a ride from work and to home after the NARPunz. I get off work at 7 and for those who don't know I work at Gamerz in Lakeline Mall and I live in Leander. If anybody could help me out it would be much appreciated. I'll leave my cell at the bottom where I can be reached, usually by text. Thanks. Hope to see everyone tomorrow night! :)

Alright, peeps. You guys can start showing up anytime after eight pm.
Here's the layout:

http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ly5xpfLQIh1qzl7f5o1_500.png

The red line from the main street shows where my apartment is
located. It's #410, but you'll figure it out immediately as I'll swap
my outside lightbulb with a neon green one. Cannot miss it! However,
parking will be an issue due to the high volume of residents in that
area. If you park in a handicap spot, you will be towed, but
everything is free game. If you cannot find a decent spot, you can
drive to the backpart of the apartment complex and walk through the
park spot to my apartment. You can see that area circled on the bottom
of the photo.

Should be a fun night. I'll have the food ready for everyone. Bring
your drinks and/or chairs!

Cleaning the apartment, cooking...and then I spill a small grease trap
in the kitchen right now.

If my apartment smells like a Clorox/bleached sterile hospital
bed...that's why.

dammit!
