Is this group still active?

I found Deep Thought's website and they seem to have a great
operation. There is nothing on the website on this group to indicate
if they are still in business. Can anyone help?

Yes, they are in business and selling games. Most 18xx discussion
happens on the 18xx Yahoo group.

I don't think there are any active prototypes up for playtesting on
the DTG-Proto website at the moment.

This group is for the discussion of prototypes, and as 18West has been
published the only one currently active is 18Kit. There has been little
feedback on it and at Chattanooga there seemed little interest in
playing it. A number of usual customers also indicated they weren't
interested in a modular map, so we aren't sure there is sufficient
interest to justify further effort.

It is clear the train mix needs some tweaking, especially for the
end-game trains as they just take too long to calculate runs given the
nature of the board in the end-game.

Regarding DTG, yes we are still in business and working through the
backlog of orders. If you have an order in the system, you can see the
number of orders ahead of your periodically go down as we ship batches
of orders.
