Dear Vipul,

Hope this finds you well. As you maybe aware, I had worked on this research project of Oxford University on Internal Circular Migration in Bihar last year.

The first phase of the project is over and they are looking for a research assistant for the second phase of the research that involves ethnographic study of the migrants at fielwork sites. The work description and other details of the work are given below.

Hope you are well. All well here. As you might know, we finally wrapped up the survey. I am planning further research which involves surveys, qualitative interviews and ethnographic hanging out. How have you been?

One research assistant needed for Oxford University project on  political ideas, identities and practices of circular labour migrants. Research will involve interviews, informal conversations, observations and hanging out with people in fieldwork sites. The RA is expected to live in the study  village for the entire duration of the research and to prepare briefs on a daily basis

Duration: two months, starting October 15, 2015

Location: rural north Bihar

Remuneration: Rs. 20,000 per month plus accommodation, food and travel taken of.

Ideal for recent graduates or doctoral students and for people interested in getting a grassroots’ view of what is arguably the most important political event of the year.
