About Be! Fund program
Going to School program Be! Fund is India's first non-profit risk capital fund for young people age 18-29 who live in
poverty in India. Be! Fund is part of Be! an Entrepreneur, a large mass media movement of movies about hero
entrepreneurs who solve big problems by building a business. Our movies air on national television and each one asks
young people to submit their enterprise idea that solves a local problem to the Be! Fund, by calling, sending a text
Message or writing a post card.
We invite young people with bright business ideas to apply to us and we invest in their businesses. We then measure the
social, financial and environmental impact of their enterprises; and inspiring a ripple effect, we tell new stories about
these new heroes through epic movies that will air on television one more time and create graphic novels for children in
schools to get inspired.
