I'd like to fill you in with what's happening or more appropriately what's not happening regarding the DST Festival.

Neither did they have the infrastructure, not did they have a cogent plan to mark the culmination of our efforts at introducing this rather innovative program for our students.

What they wanted to do was to have a workshop for higher secondary teachers, and the DST festival part consisted of  small private groups (outside of the workshop) where students from a college could display their DSTs supervised by their teacher. This would be done after collecting fees from participating students and teachers.

I think this is a poor way of showcasing the work done by the students, of giving them feedback, criticism or acclaim. So I have decided to keep a safe distance from this travesty of a festival. If anyone else wishes to join them then don't say I didn't warn you.

Still I feel that we should have a festival where the DSTs created this year could be truly celebrated. Would anyone of you consider hosting the festival? I think it would be a good addition to the profile of a college particularly if it becomes an annual event (for which we must ensure that the first edition is truly memorable). Please put it to your authorities asap and get back on this.

Best
Augusto
