Dear Dr. Narahari,
I am very glad that the series of MIGDs started by us last June has really been sustained by few important institutions in Bangalore. I am trying to motivate people in IISc, Bangalore to have one MIGD (June or July) in their premises. I feel that more institutions have to join for this good academic culture of interaction for advanced research and awareness and organize these meetings. For me, Bangalore is as good as Paris, where Prof. Claude Berge, the father of Hypergraph Theory, used to hold the famous "Monday Seminars" as long as he lived. I was fortunate to have experienced my presence in those seminars, sitting with great people like Paul Erdos, Claude Berge (in Chair), J.A. Bondy, Odile Favaron, Michel Lasvergnas, Michael Deza, V. Thomas, H.O. Hamidoune, J.-C. Bermond, and a number of upcoming research scholars from all across France, Germany, England, Italy, and Poland. So, when I had proposed such a meeting in Bangalore, all that experience and great moments in my life had come live in my mind. I am really happy that you are all taking it seriously. I am sure, this will go a long way in your research career and in buiding a high-profile academic life of your own. I wish you great moments.
I am presently spending some serious time in Mysore, editing a Special Issue of JCISS on "Set-valuations, Signed Graphs, Geometry and Applications" with my co-Editors Sr. Dr. Germina, S.B. Rao and Thomas Zaslavsky. I hope to be back in Delhi on 5th May 2012.
Best wishes for a Great MIGD.
