Dear DSSAT Users,

Does anyone have experience of using Richardson's Weather Generator (WGEN) to generate daily solar radiation for DSSAT simulation?
I'm have issues in understanding the techniques of reducing the variables (rainfall, max temperature, min temperature) to their residuals. I'm confused about the exact function form.

Sorry for distributing questions not directly related to DSSAT, but your help is very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Dear Stella,

For a pratical example of the implementation of Richardson's WGEN
functions, I would recommend you to check SAGE's IBIS model. Take a look
especifically at the file weather.f, which contains subroutines "daily" and
"diurnal", that are responsible to "downscale" mensal data to,
respectively, daily and hourly data.

HTH,
Thiago Veloso.
