Re: DSSAT WITH WINDOWS VISTA

Dear Camerino,

I encountered some problems running DSSAT 4.0.2. under Vista when I
installed it on the system partition (C:) of a notebook. Apparently
Vista blocks many processes even when programs are executed with
administrator rights on the system partition. After installation on a
non system partition (D:) the software runs fine. Maybe that could help
in your case as well.

The problem has to do with the Borland Database Engine. A link to the solution can be found here ...

However, the 4.5 version of WM has been rewritten with a new database driver (eliminating the BDE) and we will be distributing it during the DSSAT workshop next week in Griffin, Georgia. When 4.5 is formally released, the updated WM will be part of that release.
