DSpace 7 is not sending email with working SMTP setup in local.cfg

I need someone to assist me. I was able to configure SMTP, perform a test, and successfully send email using bin/dspace test-email which got delivered to my inbox. My issue is that email is not being sent when user's register a new account, despite DSpace reporting that an email has been sent to x...@gmail.com containing a special URL and further instructions. I tried it with several emails, but the problem persisted. Similarly too when I reset a users' password, email is not being sent despite dspace reporting An email has been sent.

I was able to resolve the issues. Google recently disabled the use of less secure app. Instead I used app password. You can learn more here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/72480275/is-there-a-work-around-google-disabling-less-secure-apps
