Dear community, I have installed DSpace 6.3 on ubuntu 18.04 LTS. I want to backup and restore that into a new one. I tried with many tutorials from the internet but not succeeded. Can anybody share the exact method to do that?

Hello,

there are several ways to bring your data from one DSpace to another.

If you want to have export / import packages take a look at these documentations:
- https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC6x/AIP+Backup+and+Restore

For a exact copy of the source DSpace we use this workflow:
- database dump of source database
- copy complete assetstore directory of source DSpace into target DSpace directory
- restore database dump in target database (you should run '[dspace]/bin/dspace database migrate' at the end)

I hope this helps and kind regards,
