Hello,

I have a DSpace 6.3 installed on a linux machine, using tomcat 9, jre 1.8, ant 1.10 and maven 3.3.9.

The XMLUI was working correctly (apart from Discovery but that's a different issue), everything was running as described in the docs, and that includes the REST api. Recently, I executed the dspace index-doscovery command, i.e. dspace index-discovery -b, and after that, without changing anything else, the REST api started malfunctioning, infinitely redirecting requests with status 302 (when everything was working, a request was met with a 302 status followed immediately by an actual response with a 200 status).

There was no change whatsoever regarding the REST api webapp, nor any tomcat related files. I tried rebuilding and re installing Dspace but no change. Some notes here are that Tomcat itself runs on http and there is an apache https in front of it, but again, everything was working before the index-discovery command. Also, after the reinstallation, executing dspace version, prints something like this (I only use XMLUI and REST webapps):
  Dspace version: 6.3
  [...]
  Applications:
   XMLUI at ...
   REST at ...
   REST at ...
   REST at ...
   XMLUI at ...
   REST at ...
   XMLUI at ...
   REST at ....
   XMLUI at ...
   XMLUI at ...

which seems strange.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
