DSpace CRIS 2023.02.0x upgrade problem

Hello Everyone,

earlier this year I installed DSpace CRIS 2023.02.02 with the default
entity definitions, relationships and the example communities &
collections structure for testing purposes.

Now I tried to upgrade that instance to version 2023.02.04 (and in a
second try 2023.02.05). I roughly followed
https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Upgrading+DSpace and the
outcome seemed o.k. on the first look.

However, something went wrong (probably) with the entity definitions or
submission forms for the entities "Person" and "OrgUnit". When I try to
create such an new item (or edit an existing one) the complete first
section of the form ("Person basic information") is empty.
(For other entity types the submissions forms are complete and functional.)


Are there additional steps to apply when upgrading a DSpace CRIS
instance? How can I further debug/fix the two "broken" entities?

All my initial modifications/configuration took place in
config/local.cfg so all other configuration files were replaced by the
newer ones. Until now I could not spot severe errors in the (tomcat or
front end) logs.

Any help or hints appreciated!
