Re: mailserver password to use in dspace.cfg

Dear all,

I am trying to configure Dspace to send mails and I need help to understand which mail.server.password to use in dspace.cfg - is it the normal password or the app password created?

You would be using the username and password for your (or your company's) mail server. This username and password has nothing to do with the DSPACE application other than DSpace sends the username and password to the mail server as authorization when sending email from DSpace.
