Hi all, 
I have my dspace5.5  on ubuntu 16. 
It seems tomcat is not running. Kindly help.
The status shows the following:
/opt/tomcat/bin$ sudo systemctl status tomcat

Hi,

You'll need to check your Tomcat logs for possible error messages.   The failure may or may not be related to DSpace.  If it's not related to DSpace, then you may need to ask on Tomcat support lists for additional help.  If it is related to DSpace, then we'd need to see the detailed error information from the Tomcat or DSpace logs.  See our Troubleshooting guide for how to find those errors for DSpace 5: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace6.xorbelow
