  Dear All,

I have installed the DSpace 7.6.1 backend and frontend on Ubuntu 22.04. Creating a new collection gives the following error on frontend:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ():8080/server/api/statistics/viewevents:1
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () main.0f788a308dcfcfd0.js:1
The response for 'http://192.168.222.113:8080/server/api/core/communities/search' doesn't have a self link. This could mean there's an issue with the REST endpoint

I have attached the DSpace log file as well.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to resolve this issue?

Thanks for any help.  I appreciate it.

Hi,

The DSpace log you shared only seems to show login failures.

The UI screenshot you shared doesn't show any failures that are related to this component.  It just shows that you have google.analytics.key disabled (that's all that 404 error shows), but that's not related to this.

I suspect there must be a different error occurring that you are not seeing, or maybe there's a communication problem between the frontend & the backend *or* between the backend and Solr. Please follow the Troubleshooting guide and search for other possible errors. https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace7.x(orabove)

If this is a brand new installation of DSpace, it's possible you are encountering one of the common installation issues listed at https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Installing+DSpace#InstallingDSpace-CommonInstallationIssues

It's really difficult to say what could be happening without more details.  I can verify though that this works fine on our demo site : https://demo.dspace.org/ , so it must be an error or misconfiguration in your site.  Finding the error messages will help determine which it is.

Tim
