DSpace 7.5 filter-media -f and diffrent size of thumbnails

Hi,

After migration from dspace 6.3 JSPUI to DSpace 7.5 i have a problem with filter-media -f, it tries to generate new thumbnails, but can't generate new larger ones. Only using filter-media -f -i and indicating the exact bitstream helps - then the thumbnail is generated according to the thumbnail.maxwidth setting.But when I try to do it globally filter-media -f thumbnails are skipped and remain still small from previous dspace 6.3 jspui.

How can I globally generate new thumbnails overwriting the old smaller ones?

Hi Karol,

It's possible you are hitting this bug discovered in 7.5: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/pull/8684

That PR provides a fix that is currently under review for inclusion in 7.6.  If you find time to try it out yourself, please report back on that PR with your findings (as it helps us move along code changes more quickly when others have reported that the fix is working for them).
