Good afternoon,

We are running DSpace 6.3.  When users attempt to access a subject the url is “vocabulary:https://…….”  Where is the “vocabulary:” coming from?  I have checked the java scripts but cannot find the cause.  Has anyone else encountered this issue?  Thank you for your assistance.

Dear Dale,

can you show an example page/screenshot where this is happening? Is this on an item page, browse by subject, discovery/search, ... ?

thanks,

Bram

Thanks for the quick reply.  I had attempted to change that in my local theme but it did not seem to remove the text.    I’ll give it another try.  Thanks again.

Bram,

I removed the “vocabulary:” text but it is still in the page for some reason.  Here is the url it creates “vocabulary:https://ir.vanderbilt.edu/xmlui/JSON/controlled-vocabulary?vocabularyIdentifier=srsc&metadataFieldName=dc_subject"

Hi Dale,

just backing up for a second. What change/customization do you envision here in the end?

I made a short video to show how the prefix enables javascript to catch the click event for the taxonomy trees:

kindest regards,

Bram
