[DSpace 6.x] Howto: show total items into the home page?

Hi people, how are you?

We are using DSpace 6.x

I am trying to figure out how to list, for example, all articles (and the total) into the home page.

In the Discover section we show Author (total), Subject (total) by default.

Is there a way to add a custom dc.customlabel to that section?
