Custom facet issue

Good morning,

 

We are running DSpace 6.3.  We have created a custom facet for a specific field (thesis.degree.discipline) that has a limited number of values (<300).  The facet works great, but when we select “View More”  the resulting pages are not relevant.  I did reindex discovery after making the changes to discover.xml .  Any idea why we get the large number 5500 of options showing in the browse.  We also cannot move beyond the page below.  Thank you for your assistance.
