Hi,

i think that i miss some fundamental understanding of the solr statistics mechanims...
we have a 6.2 dspace installation with solr running and some solr data in the correct, i think, location, i.e [dspace]/solr/statistics
However the UI of Administration->Statistics shows that there are currently no reports.
In many forums i have found the solution to run commands such as [dspace]/bin/dspace stat-monthly, stat-general, stat-report-monthly, etc. And indeed when i do so the Administration->Statistics UI shows some results.
BUT is this the way that solr is supposed to be working? Isn't this the old way of generating statistics from the dspace log files? Can someone clarify this point?
And if this is the case how is the proper way for solr generated statistics to work?

John,
I was having trouble getting my 6.3 stats to show up.  It may be the same issue you are having.  Take a look at this thread:

I hope this helps.

Hi Jose,

thanks for the suggestion. In a trial installation that was indeed the problem.
In the productive installation, however, the problem was that due to custom theme the correct links for the Solr statistics were not shown.

Anyway, thank you again for your interest to provide a suggestion...

Regards
John
