SAF .csv file delimiter

Hello...

I'm reading in the Lyrasis documentation that comma is the chosen delimiter for CSV files in the SAF build.  If I created my CSV as pipe delimited will the SAF build work?  This would keep us from having to add quotation marks around our Titles, which keeps the commas in the title from being considered as delimiters.

The quotations work, I was just curious if anyone had luck with alternate delimiters.  I guess I could just try it out.
