How to update to DataCite Metdata Schema 4?

Hello,

I'm wondering how we should update DataCite metadata schema 3 to schema 4 in our DSpace 7.6 repository.  The DataCite webpage gives general instructions but nothing platform specific.  Should I just be going through my code and replacing everything that says http://datacite.org/schema/kernel-3 with  https://schema.datacite.org/meta/kernel-4/ ?  Do I need to tweak my item submission forms somehow?  Help.
