Hello,
I am currently installing DSpace 7.2 and have the following problem
 - when angular UI starts, it cannot load the collection database (even if it is empty), throwing an error "error.top-level-communites". However, SSL, login with admin account works fine. But it is not possible to create a new community or collection.
Any suggestion what may help?
Thanks
Jan

See our Troubleshoot an error guide: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace7.x(orabove)

Unfortunately, in DSpace 7.x, screenshot errors usually will never provide enough information to debug the real problem. You'll need to look for the underlying error message in either the UI (via your browser's DevTools) or the backend's logs (or both).  See that guide for more information.

Once you find the underlying issue, if you cannot figure out the cause, feel free to send it to this mailing list & hopefully someone can help you.

Jan,

I have the same error. When I look at the console I'm getting a "google.analytics.key" error "Not Found". I'm just about to dig back into the documentation to see if I did something wrong on the install or if there is some mention of the /server/api/config/properties/google.analytics.key and 404 errors somewhere.

I hope that the direction I'm heading helps and if I do find a path I'll let you know here.

Cheers.
Lisle

Jan,

I got a PM about restarting Solr as a possible solution but I had zero success with it. I don't know if it may work for you:

"restart solr /opt/solr/bin/.restart solr"

but my reply to the sender was as follows:

" Thanks for this but I’m not getting the syntax to work. I’m unsure of what I’m doing wrong. I have done a ‘systemctl stop solr’ in the past and have navigated into the bin folder for solr and ran ‘./solr stop -p 8983’ to get it to stop and the converse to get it started once more."

If you've had any progress Jan, please feel free to share. I'm pretty stumped.

Cheers.

Still the same problem as described by Lisle (also combiden with  /server/api/config/properties/google.analytics.key and 404 errors ) .
Restarting SOLR did not help

Cheers

Solved.
Lisley, check again the step #13 in the installation.
