Breadcrumbs based on entity hierarchy?

Hello everyone,

we are currently working on a DSpace project (based on version 7.6.3) where there is the need for breadcrumbs that do not display the hierarchy of communities and collections but the hierarchy of the parent entities. Has this been done before, or are there any plans for this functionality?
