Hi everyone.
I have installed DSpace 7.2.1 backend and 7.2 frontend in the same CentOS server. I have set server IP instead of localhost for url. Everything is working fine in the server. Even I could access/see HAL server & Apache HTTP server testing page from another pc. But can't access the UI page from other pc.  Can anyone give me some directions to resolve this, please.

Hi Sanjib,

You haven't given us enough information about your setup to help.  You also haven't shared any detailed error messages.

However, it's likely that you have not followed the "Production Installation" step of the installation guide.  This step is REQUIRED in order to access the UI & REST API from a different PC.  So, for example, you must be running HTTPS (on the backend at a minimum) to access the REST API from a different machine.

See step 16 ("Production Installation (adding HTTPS support)" of the backend installation guide: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Installing+DSpace#InstallingDSpace-BackendInstallation

Also see step 8 ("Add HTTPS support") of the frontend installation guide: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Installing+DSpace#InstallingDSpace-FrontendInstallation

If those don't help, then I'd recommend using our Troubleshooting guide to determine the underlying error message: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace7.x(orabove)

If you have more questions, let us know on this list.

Tim
