Dspace 8 New submission problem

Dear all,

The following errors are showing up when i try submitting a new item
When i click on the "Deposit button",
"i get the message "There was an issue when saving the item, please try again later."

When i try uploading a file, i get the message "java.io.IOException: permission denied

My /Dspace directory is owned by the tomcat user

My assetsore is on an NFS directory

Kindly help.

Hi,

We'd need more information on when / where the error is occurring.  It's unclear to me when you see the "permission denied" error, and we'd need to see the full stacktrace of that error (as it's unclear what is throwing the permission denied error).
