DSpace 6.3 "Browse by"

Say there are 3 items with titles Abc, Mnp and Xyz.

If browse by Titles and give Abc in the search box, the result appears as Abc followed by the other 2 in alphabetical order.

Then, if I search Xyz, I get only Xyz as the result.

But, after this if I give Mnp, there is no result. The previous result of Xyz still remains.

Is it a bug?

I am not a developer person. So having difficulty understanding the whole github thread.

The link you provided points out to the "Jump to year" issue.

But they have identified similar problems there. 

In which version, have these been properly fixed?

Hi Arunendra,

According to that ticket ( https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/issues/7292), it will be fixed in the upcoming 6.4 release (due date TBD).

I know that the behavior of this "jump to" has been fixed/updated in 7.x as well... As of the latest 7.x release (7.3), this bug doesn't exist, and the search box acts as a filter of all browse by results.  So, in 7.x, if you search Browse by Titles for "B", then you'd just see all titles that begin with "B".
