Ckan integration with DSpace-CRIS

Hello Team,

Can someone guide how can I get URL, apikey and orgname in order to fill below fields for the integration of CKAN with DSpace-CRIS?

Hi Rakhi,
you need to install CKAN following their documentation, see

once you have a running ckan installation (it doesn't need to be
exposed over internet or known to your community, this mean that you
don't need to spent time on branding and training for your
endusers/researchers) create an organisation and get its apikey

The CKAN url needs to be visible to your dspace, so it can (should) be
a private ip address.

Thanks for the response. I have setup CKAN as described in links and have also configured the integration (https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACECRIS/CKAN+integration). Now how to upload files and check if things are working properly or not?

Hello Rakhi,
you need to upload some tabular data to an item, please see

https://github.com/4Science/DSpace/blob/dspace-5_x_x-cris/dspace/config/modules/ckan.cfg#L6

for the list of accepted formats and run the ckan upload curation task


https://github.com/4Science/DSpace/blob/dspace-5_x_x-cris/dspace/config/modules/curate.cfg#L18

This can be done logging in as administrator, visit the item page and
click on Edit (admin mode) button than the curate button.
Here you will found the "Upload tabular dataset to CKAN", if everything
work properly a new record will be created on your CKAN installation
and in the public page of the display item you will see instead than
the view/open button aside the file a dropdown with the explore online
option.

Hello Andrea, 

I have followed this process but still, I couldn't see 'explore online' instead of 'view/open' button on the item display page.

I also tried to upload a dataset on the demo site of DSpace-cris  (https://test.dspace-cris.4science.it/handle/123456789/112) configured by 4Science but couldn't see the explore online there too.
