Maven Error

Hi, am trying to install dspace 6.3 on ubuntu 18.04 and getting the error below when downloading maven packages. I have openJDK version 10 installed. Kindly assist. Thank you

Hello,

DSpace 6.x has not been tested with OpenJDK version 10, so we cannot guarrantee it will work with that version of OpenJDK.

As noted in the DSpace 6.x installation guide, DSpace 6.x requires Java JDK version 7 or 8 (Version 8 is recommended, as 7 is now End-of-Life):

So, I'd recommend installing OpenJDK version 8 and trying the build again.  If you are still hitting issues, feel free to post back to this mailing list

Thanks Tim for the insight. I have uninstalled openJDK 10 and installed openJDK 8. The error still occurs

Thanks Tim, uninstalled all java instances and reinstalled openJDK version 8 and it worked.
