Hello everyone, I comment that since September 2019 I am in charge of the institutional repository of the Tecnologico de Costa Rica, there are many things that I still do not handle very well, but I have a special case with the Architecture School that wants to personalize its community in the repository , both with the image of the community banner and the preview image on the items, so I wanted to know if anyone has experience with these issues to see if we can communicate and tell me how I should do it, I await your answers, my email is jenr...@tec.ac.cr or jaso...@gmail.com. Greetings.

Kia ora Jason,

To customise the community banner, you should be able to login to the website as an administrator, navigate to the community, then in the menu click “Edit Community” and you’ll have some options there.

For the thumbnail image on the item it depends what you want to do and what version of DSpace you’re running (especially whether it’s JSPUI, XMLUI, Mirage2, etc). For example we have DSpace 5.8 running XMLUI/Mirage2, and we can edit how the thumbnail is displayed in the files:

·         /dspace/webapps/xmlui/themes/Mirage2/xsl/aspect/artifactbrowser/item-view.xsl (for the actual item page)

·         /dspace/webapps/xmlui/themes/Mirage2/xsl/aspect/artifactbrowser/item-list.xsl (for search results and community/collection/browse results)

You’ll probably need to get some familiarity with XSL to edit this, especially depending how complex you want to get.
