dspace items not visible

Dear All,

 

I have a new dspace pgadmin database in a test server, I restore a backup of the production database in the test database. The files(items) are not displaying on the dspace page but when I check the database the files are in the database. I have rebuild dspace but still it’s not visible.

 

Please can anyone help.

Items exist in the database, but the individual files which make up an
item do not; they are files with seemingly random names below the
[DSpace]/assetstore directory. If you did not copy those over, then
you will be able to see Communities, Collections and Items but not
fetch the documents that an Item should contain. The database
contains only the names of those files.

Hi,

if this is an upgrade you will have to generate the index again. For dspace 5.x you would need to run /dspace/bin/dspace index-discovery 

When the assetstore is not copied over then you will not see the item's metadata but get a blanc screen and an error message in the dspace.log file.
