Hello,

We have got DSpace 7.5.

We want to set up submission map (in item-submission.xml) to two options:

  • default: traditional – it works
  • all journal collection (we have 90 pieces collection; each collection has one maps row): journal – it doesn’t work; error message: you haven’t got permission. It works fine for a few lines, gives an error above a certain number (I don't know how many).

There is a limit to the number of submission maps? Has anyone encountered this before?

What could be a good solution?

I couldn't find any information about this. (https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Submission+User+Interface)

Thanks

Gabor

Hello Gabor,

I'm not aware of a defined limit to the number of submission maps; since you said it worked for a few lines, another possibility could be an error in one or more of the collection-specific rows.  It could be helpful to add in chunks of rows at a time to identify if there's a specific one causing the problem, wrong handle numbers, etc. Beyond that, if you can share a full trace from your logs containing the error message and context that could help narrow it down.

As an alternative, if you are using configurable entities and able to upgrade to DSpace 7.6, you could probably simplify the configuration (see default submission process).  For example, if you have a certain submission definition that you want to map to all collections that use the "Journal" entity type, that could be just one mapping:

<name-map collection-entity-type="Journal" submission-name="Journal"/>

Hope that can get you started.
Lia

Dear Lia,

Thanks your answer.

It was a stupid mistake. I got the list, I didn't look through it, there was some line in it that wasn't a collection.

Thanks

Gabor
